Position Summary
A luxury jewelry company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Sales Manager to join their growing team. This role requires strong leadership, proven sales management skills, and the ability to drive performance in a luxury retail environment. The ideal candidate will support the Sales Manager in overseeing daily sales operations, coaching and mentoring the team, and ensuring exceptional client engagement. This individual will play a critical role in developing the sales team, maximizing revenue opportunities, and upholding the company's commitment to luxury service and excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and support the sales team in meeting and exceeding performance targets through coaching, mentoring, and daily oversight.
- Manage sales operations, including scheduling, client consultations, CRM utilization, and luxury clienteling practices.
- Conduct and oversee training sessions to ensure consistent adherence to luxury service standards.
- Partner with the Sales Manager to drive lead generation, client follow-up, and sales conversion strategies.
- Assist with merchandising, marketing initiatives, and execution of special events.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure store standards, operational efficiency, and a seamless client experience.
- Maintain a strong presence on the sales floor, actively engaging with clients and closing high-value sales opportunities.
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture that prioritizes shared success.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Sales Expertise: Deep knowledge of the luxury sales process, with the ability to close significant transactions and guide clients through custom design consultations.
- Problem Solving: Skilled at identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability: Able to manage competing priorities and pivot seamlessly in dynamic circumstances.
- Time Management: Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building abilities, with a passion for luxury service.
- Integrity & Trust: Operates with professionalism, discretion, and high ethical standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of luxury retail sales experience in a client-facing role
- 2+ years of luxury sales management preferred, but not required
- Strong Client Advisors or Sales Professionals with proven success in luxury sales who are ready to step into leadership are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated clienteling skills, with the maturity to mentor others while remaining adaptable and eager to embrace new technology
- Strong knowledge of fine jewelry, precious metals, and gemstones required
- GIA AJP certification a plus
- Familiarity with platforms such as Shopify, Client Project, HubSpot, or Podium a plus
- Exceptional presentation and client communication skills
WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT
- Location: Onsite in Jackson, WY.

- Work Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
